What is the best age to start reading Percy Jackson?

I stumbled across Percy Jackson when I was 9. It was great for me, and I immediately got addicted, but I’d like to hear when do you guys think is the best age to start reading Percy Jackson.

I think around 3rd grade for percy jackson and 4th grade for the heroes of olympus

My friend introduced me to the Percy Jackson books at the beginning of 6th grade. I probably would have read them earlier on, but I was never able to find the first book at any local libraries. I'm still trying to finish reading Heroes Of Olympus.
