I recently reread The Demigod Files and realized Ethan Nakamura has no backstory whatsoever, and has made some questionable choices.
When Percy spared his life, he returned the favour by trying to stab him in the back (literally). He's a child of Nemesis, meaning he SHOULD have a really strong sense of justice, which does not include stabbing someone who saved your life. So I don't think it he did it willingly.
It's also interesting how he just KNEW about Percy's blind spot. I can't remember if we ever got an explanation on that. I think Ethan died too quickly. Nemesis has nothing to do with, like, third eyes or extra senses, so it's weird. Some sort of godly/titan-ly blessing?
He's also a sort of cowardly person. I may be wrong, but he always came off as either just not giving a dam or being genuinely terrified 24/7 (both of which are big moods).
Plus, his death was extremely unsatisfying.
So, being me, I have fan-adopted Ethan and I now consider myself responsible for coming up with a nice backstory and not justifying, but explaining his mistakes because his character had a lot of potential but Rick got tired of him.
But I'm bad and my mind is blank so I'm sorry, but I'm making y'all think for me. Suggestions???
