He's interesting. He has no clue how to fight, and no Mary Sue powers, he's a healer AND main character, which is honestly an interesting concept that a lot of people don't think about.

My favorite thing is he isn’t judgy, is TOTALLY a hugger, he is nice to everyone, he’s incredibly sarcastic and sassy, he will do anything to protect his friends, AND he’s the ONLY main character that has only defensive powers, so he’s a healer that is TERRIBLE at typical hero things like fighting. I absolutely ADORE Magnus. Happy Birthday, bro.

The way he cares about his friends and treats them like family is honestly beautiful.

He's a funny guy as well. I've only gotten to appreciate how funny he is when I reread the series.

He's always there for his friends. Like how he and Hearth went to Alfheim just to heal Blitzen,

He sacrified his remaining strength to heal Halfborn,

And helping Amir...Not go insane? I honestly don't get what he did in that part, but he did something! And it certainly helped.

He rarely gets angry with anyone, as far as I remember. I can appreciate a guy who doesn't get angry easily.

He doesn't have a loving family (by blood) like Percy or Kane siblings (they have each other) and even Artimes pities Apollo. Sure, Rudolph is good in the end, but he also dies.

He cares about all his friends, even his sword.

He guards Sam when she's praying.

He always puts his friends first.
