Ok, so I find this a little bit weird. First, usually ships have a basis of some sort of encounter that could be counted or almost counted as romantic. I don’t think piper and Annabeth ever had that together. Second, they don’t really have chemistry together, I don’t see them ever getting together, even in an alternate universe. Third, while piper may be pansexual, Annabeth is straight as far as we know, and none of her actions indicate her also being pan or bi. Fourth reason, the development isn’t very good, they are almost never doing anything together. Fifth and final reason, Percabeth kind of overshadows it, like they have a lot of chemistry, they have many books leading up to their relationship, they have a lot of romantic moments together outside of when they started dating, and Annabeth is actually attracted to boys like Percy.

Piper and Annabeth are very close friends but never in a million years would I think that either one of them would develop romantic feelings for the other. They don't have the actions leading up to their chemistry. Just friends. Also, Percabeth is already the most solid ship in Riordan history, we've been shipping them since the first series, first book, why would that change, it would be so forced to have that change.
