4/5 are my favourite characters whom i think are well developed throughout the series yet you ask me to choose
@Dlwlrma fan Uaena ay man, gotta choose
It's very sad because some of these characters were wonderfully written characters before Rick made them have a wonk reverse character arc.
Hazel and Lester were never too remarkable, but Leo, Reyna, and Nico started off as excellent and interesting.
Then Leo met Calypso, Reyna joined the Hunters, and Nico met Will. Honestly, I feel that Rick involves romance way too much and utterly messes up his creations.
I would say that Nico was the best written character, before he met his boyfriend. No hate to Will, of course, but Nico's personality, struggles, and trauma completely evaporated.

I agree! But thankfully this was only shown in a couple of cameos in The Hidden Oracle. He got better in Tower of Nero, we see his trauma (PTSD), and him being more comfortable with his sexuality by openly calling Will his "boyfriend".
Nico or Lester.
Reyna isn't bad either. Leo was still problematic pre-Calypso, but I kind of liked him in TLH.
Oh yeah, and a little note: When I say Nico, I'm mostly referring to pre-Will.
LESTER. FIGHT ME. Because unlike Nico who is more of a hidden cinnamon roll, Apollo was straight out a JERK. And then he's stuck as Lester, and he goes through the most insane personal changes I've heard of. I think Lester goes through the most character growth, which takes a lot of well written changes.
Lester has the best character arc, but he's not the most interesting one (imo).
Yea Lester was a great character (kinda biased because Apollo is my godly parent) but he's one of the most relatable characters in the series
