I was scrolling through some Johnny Depp pics *clear simp*🤡
And then I just saw a pic with three of the hottest people on earth *squeal*
And I was reminded of some of the hottest riordanverse chatacters *MeGa SquEal*!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I know Johnny isn't Latino, but he does remind me of Leo in this pic. Can't you just see the cute/hot resemblance?
And Brad just had to be Magnus... Say otherwise and we'll be having some serious debate.
He reminds me of Jason~
If y'all have any other suggestions, please let me know.
Does this count as a meme post? If so, go ahead and take it down and sorry. Has anyone ever seen the things like this:
Nico Di Angelo
In the comments, feel free to make some! Also, do you think I should make more and post them? Again, if it's ok to only.
So we're going to start with the main seven-plus Reyna and Nico.
He's the son of the sea god, he's the all-known Persassy, you know who I'm going to say...
ALL HAIL PERCY JACKSON. I love this dude. He's hot, he's caring, he's loyal, he's sassy. But I was actually glad when Nico and Jason came into play (RIP btw) because I was a little tired of the tirade of "Percy Jackson Conquers All" because of his massive amount of power. I know he may not have been the one to insinuate it, but I was getting a bit tired of him having no equal in power.
Jason Grace. I like his sister more, but I don't think he's as bland as people say. I think he's like... Captain America. He's kind, he's honorable, he's blonde. He's not my favorite character, but he's not bland to me.
Annabeth Chase. Agree with me or don't, but I don't like Annabeth. She's too bossy and prideful for my taste. And yes, there's a difference between take charge and bossy. Yes, there's a difference between smart and Know-It-All. Percy is take charge. Annabeth is bossy. Leo is smart. Annabeth is Know-It-All. Plus, personally, I don't like that in fifteen books we've never seen her emotionally vulnerable. Then there's the fact that if she and Percy had fight, she wouldn't do anything and wait for Percy to 'come to his senses' or something.
Piper McLean. I don't think she's worth all the hate she gets. I get people disliking her for her obsession with Jason, but Silena had that problem too and no one criticized her. She's a daughter of Aphrodite for gods' sake. But I will admit, I don't like that she's the only tomboy kid of Aphrodite.
Leo Valdez. I love him so much. He's mad favorite, so I may be biased, but bear with me here. I've heard people say that he bullied Frank. But Frank decided that he was going to be jealous of Leo for helping Hazel. So I have mixed emotions on that. He 'bullies' everyone, sure, but I think it's partially perspective. My best friend now is someone I used hate all through elementary school because he acted like Leo. Now we're super close.
Hazel Levesque. I think she was a good break from all of the severity or snark of all the other characters. She's mild, she's kind, she's occasionally snarky, but she doesn't layer it on like Leo.
Frank Zhang. He's also a good break from everyone else, but he's also a bit jealous. Like when Leo was helping out Hazel and he got jealous of him.
Nico di Angelo. I love him. He's adorable. And powerful. he balances Percy and Jason's power, especially considering he's a few years younger. But he's relatable. He's someone you can look at and go "I get him." However, I think he's a bit overrated, being a gay character.
Reyna Ramirez-Arellano. I've heard people say she's the Roman copy of Annabeth. And yes, I can see it, but she's also more relatable than Annabeth. She took the time to get to know Nico, and he even let her hug him in the end of the book. She's shown vulnerability. I love a girl who can stay strong, and that's Reyna, but I also love a girl who knows when to ask for help and knows who she doesn't have to be tough in front of.
Should I do another one of these? If so, what characters?
For a bunch of Riordanverse characters, I found there birthdays, and then Zodiac signs. At the bottom I will list the ones I tried, but couldn't find Information for. In the comments, you can put other characters that you want me to try and find. Here they are, and hope you like this!
Percy--Leo (stated in the books)
(if what I found was correct, Frank and Grover have the same birthday of June, 5)
ONES I TRIED AND COULDN'T FIND
(Reyna, Luke, Clarisse, Meg, Tyson, Rachel, and Zoe even though Zoe should just be her own the Huntress)
Let's start out with undoubtedly the most popular ship in the RRW. You all know it's coming...
Percabeth (Percy x Annabeth). Agree with me or don't, but I don't like Percabeth. I think it's abusive, obsessive, generic, and overall... not that interesting. And here's why I think this. You remember in the Mark of Athena Rick uses the excuse "it's fiction" in this instance, because, in reality, if you did that to someone you would crack their head open and leave them with a considerable concussion and a bit of brain damage (no, for those of you who aren't too familiar with anatomy and physiology, I'm not joking). Abusive. Remember when Percy lost his memory in the Son of Neptune? How Percy only remembered Annabeth, his girlfriend of... what- six months? Tops? What happened to everyone else he loves? His mom? Paul? Obsessive. Percabeth has no ups and downs and is pretty much the perfect couple. Generic.
Caleo (Leo x Calypso). I don't like them either. I think they're kinda pedo and toxic. Most of us (not all) agree that Caleo is pedo. Calypso is thousands of years older than Leo, even without her time on Ogygia. Mentally, she's most likely older, she just acts her physical age. Pedo. Leo calls Calypso 'Sunshine', though she tells him not to. Calypso pokes Leo's kidneys though he tells her not to. This is plainly seen in The Trials of Apollo. Toxic.
Jasper/Jiper (Jason x Piper). Obviously this one is not happening any time soon (RIP), but I'll speak on the topic anyways. I think it's kind of obsessive, and too rushed, but I don't have feelings as strong for it as Caleo or Percabeth. Here's why. Piper doesn't abuse Jason in any way. She may be a bit obsessive, but have we ever seen her judo flip him or do any physical damage? It's also not pedo. But it is obsessive and rushed. Piper obsesses over Jason a little too much, and Hera pushed them into a relationship, basically making them be a couple. Obsessive and rushed.
Frazel (Frank and Hazel). They're cute. Reading about them made me smile. They're not obsessive. They're not abusive. They're not too generic. They seem like the perfect ship. They're perfect. That's my complaint. Like all ships in the RRW (save Jasper) they're perfect. They're adorable. But they're too perfect. Otherwise they're... well... perfect.
Should I do more posts like these? Comment your thoughts.
In the Son of Neptune, Reyna states that Rome would never follow Frank and Hazel. Both of them had to prove themselves and in the end, become praetors together. And for this to happen Reyna had to step down.
But she shouldn’t have become a hunter. They already did that with Thalia. Maybe she could have fallen in love with a mortal. Or, maybe even go to college and just never fall in love with anyone. Almost every character in the Riordan verse either falls in love or joins the hunters. Almost everyone, from Leo Valdez to Percy Jackson’s sword has fallen in love. So, this would have been a nice change
A lot of Characters I've seen a lot of questioning about, for example Jason, a lot of people like him, but a lot also don't. So I want to ask if you like the character or not.
And also, same with ships
Percabeth (percy and Annabeth)
Caleo (Leo and Calypso)
Jasper (Jason and Piper)
Finally, a question, who do you ship Luke with? Annabeth or Thalia? Or do you ship him with someone entirely different?
