Why or why not?
How it's gonna work:
I will give a scenario and a certain few details, like deaths, or place or betrayal, something like that, which will have to be included in the prophecies in order to see who can make the best ones for each thing.
All answers to be posted below. Comments outside of prophecies should be placed in () parentheses.
Upvote the ones you like the most.
I will do a poll for the top 2 exactly (maybe not, depending on how i'm going with stuff) 24 hours after the first response and will be available for 24 hours, however 2nd one will be out in that time
Top 2 get points, a total of 5 points will be allocated between them depending on how they are divided in the poll.
Anyone can join at any time, it is open to all
Teams are as in my other competition:
Big Three: Zeus, poseidon, hades (and Roman counterparts)
War: athena, ares, Artemis (and Roman counterparts)
Stay at Home and not Interfere: Aphrodite, Hera and Apollo (and Roman counterparts)
The Underdogs: dionysus, hephaestus, demeter (and Roman counterparts) and all other minor gods and all other mythologies if that's how you identify.
Ok so I'm gonna do 1 situation and then one for a character coz I like having that pattern. This one is about:
It has to be about the events before TTC
So, the whole thing with Riptide and Hercules
Becoming an outcast from her family - forgotten member
Becoming a hunter
May include the first run-in with Thalia but no events in TTC
NO Bianca, or death or Percy or anything
Scoreboard (end of Round 4)
Big Three: 4

Hello everybody and welcome to another ftp. If you're here even after readi g my previous two, I really appreciate it *she thought that she would get kicked out after posting the first one*
Today's ftp is based on Zoë Nightshade. Most of you hate her because she is biased towards men. And the rest of you like her just because she died. Honestly, it's becoming a trend to like people just because they died. Very few people recognise and respect her for who she actually was.
Zoë was a hunter of Artemis, as y'all know. Most of you don't like her for this reason only. I'll address that in a minute, please keep reading.
Zoë Nightshade is the daughter of Titan Atlas and Pleione. She was born along with her sisters, the Hesperides. Growing up, she tended to their garden, which was gifted by Hera. Unlike her sisters, she held a very special connection to Ladon, the dragon that guards the tree containing the apples of immortality. At that time life was peaceful for her-
Until Hercules showed up.
Hercules came to Zoë to ask for her help. He had to complete his quest given by his uncle. To succeed, he had to present the golden apples to his uncle. So he confronted Zoë. She had not known much about him, but the fact the he was a known for his heroic deeds. She reluctantly agreed. She revealed a few secrets on how to trick her father. She also gifted him with her hairpin that could turn into a sword, Anakusmos. She helped him so much, barely knowing who he was. She was not biased towards men ant that time. She treated everyone equally.
Learning of their sister's betrayal, the Hesperides casted her out and abandoned her. They also wiped her name from history.
Ultimately, even Hercules gave her no credit for helping him on his quest. Furious, she refused to acknowledge or respect any male hero she met. I repeat, male hero. Not any male.
Having nowhere to go, she decided to join the hunters of Artemis and she swore off men forever.
As time passed, Zoë rose to become the lieutenant of the hunters. She was very loyal to Artemis to an extent that she was ready to give up her life for the goddess.
At one point, Zoë met Thalia, Luke and Annabeth when they were runaway demigods. She offered an invitation to Thalia to join the hunt and almost managed to convince her. Thalia denied, as she wasn't ready to leave Luke and it turned into a heated argument. Zoë felt offended by the fact that Thalia was giving up her life for a mere boy.
She did not want Thalia to end up like her. She cared for Thalia even though she barely knew her and wished for her best. She did not want Thalia to go through all the trouble Zoë went. All because of a boy.
Zoë cared. She cared for people she loved. Remember the time when the Stoll brothers stained Phoebe's shirt with centaur blood? She could've taken another hunter in place of Phoebe. But she did not, as it would endanger their lives. If you ask, Why did she take Bianca then? She wanted to give Bianca an opportunity to know the stakes of being a hunter. And also that she saw talent in her.
Her loyalty to Artemis is also shown when she signs up for the quest.
One shall perish by a parent's hand
Even after knowing that this was definitely refering to her, she set on the quest, ignoring the fact that she would not come back.
At the incident in the mall, when Percy kills the Nemean Lion, she told Percy to keep the spoil of war. This indicates she had some respect for anyone who proved themselves to be worthy. Even if it was a boy.
At the Junkyard of Gods, Zoë insisted Bianca to drop the Hades figurine or she might die. But Bianca refused. Zoë cared for Bianca. She did not want her to die. She did not want any of the hunters to die. She was very protective of them.
After this incident, she eventually warmed up to Percy and Thalia.
At their final showdown with her father, Atlas, she begged him to let go of Artemis. She even offered to take up the sky, and she would have, if Artemis hadn't denied her request. She was horrified by the way Artemis was covered in blood and would do anything to free the goddess. But, Artemis instructed her not to do so.
Atlas was about to kill Percy, at one point, but she screamed, "No!" and fired a handful of arrows into his armpit so he would turn on her and give Percy a chance to recover. Percy would've died at that moment if it wasn't for Zoë. She saved Percy, showing that she didn't want anyone to die on the quest, even they weren't a hunter.
When Percy was holding up the sky and Thalia and Luke were battling, Artemis and Zoë were fighting to take down Atlas. Zoë jumped in between, when the Titan shot arrows at Artemis. She was the most loyal lieutenant Artemis ever had. Even though she was injured from the attack when Ladon bit her, she jumped in to save Artemis. Yet, her father knocked her out. Such was her loyalty. She was willing to give up her life in honour of the goddess who accepted her when no one did.
After Percy tricked Atlas into holding up the sky again, she was gravely injured and was about to die.
She grew to trust Percy. She realised he was nothing like the hero Hercules had been. She was honoured that he carried her sword. Her last words to Percy were You spoke the truth. You are nothing like... like Hercules. I am honored that you carry this sword.
What do you think of this really long rant. It wasn't meant to be this long. I'd be honoured if this changed you from hating Zoë to respecting her. But if you still hate her, I don't mind you. As I said, you can have your own opinions and I'd still agree with them as long as you would agree with mine!!
I wanted to use the official post for headcannons but I have to share this with everyone. It broke my heart. I found something online and it said this:
'Dear Bob, the stars say hello to you too. -Zoe'
Quoting Apollo lol 'Buy me new tear ducts. My old ones broke down' or something among those lines.
• You can guess only once. If you guess for the second time, it will not be counted.

What's wrong with Zoë Nightshade?
TEAM POWERFUL: 4 points

Hey. Im going to start making appreciation posts about characters who I think are underrated. Today I am going to do Zoë Nightshade, drop ideas in the comments for me to do next!!
Zoë Nightshade Appreciation:
Zoë was a Hunter of Artemis for over 2000 years. But before that she was hurt and in pain, she helped a hero, so her family exiled her, and Hercules gave her no credit. Imagine helping someone, so your family then hates you, kicks you out, acts as if you never existed. That would cause you pain. But the fandom acts like this pain is irrelevant which is horrible.
Zoë also is extremely loyal. People always look at Percy for his loyalty, such as "he went after Annabeth" "the only person he remembered was Annabeth!!" yea, that is very loyal of Percy, kudos to him. But Zoë.... Zoë went on a quest which she knew she would die. She knew. But then she went on it anyway, to save Artemis, she went on the quest which she knew would kill her. And that is so loyal. Sacrificing yourself, to help someone else. But people still see her a bratty jerk. Yes she was bratty to Percy and men at first because Percy reminded her of Hercules at first, she had all the right to be angry.
So much of Zoë importance was pushed to the side because people mainly only payed attention to Percy and how he was going after Annabeth, so many amazing underrated characters are overlooked cuz Percabeth takes the spotlight. This leads people who don't appreciate the character to say that the character is overrated. Zoë, is anything but overrated. She doesn't have people making lots of art of her. She doesn't have a ton of popular fanfiction. She doesn't have a lot of headcanons, if she had that, then maybe i would sorta consider her to be overrated.
Also, what so many people don't realize is that the only reason Percy and the other "questers" + Annabeth and Artemis are alive and safe is because of Zoë. When Atlas was about to strike Percy to kill him, Zoë shot a volley of arrows at Atas, her own father, while she was already injured due to Ladon's poison. And that is terribly brave. I've said it once and imma say it again. Zoë is mainly known for the girl who said "I can see the stars again my lady" her death scene is mainly what people pay attention too, people who hate on Zoë never have had a reason, or have had a reason that I can't push back with evidence.
And once again, just wanting to emphasize this, Zoë knew she would die. But she went on the quest anyway. She knew. And someone who knows they're going to die, but goes along with it anyway... isn't that the brave hero that we should appreciate instead of hate on?
Thank you for coming to my character appreciation post. name other characters you'd like me to do this with. And if you don't like Zoë tell me why in comments cuz I'd love to have a debate with you :D
Zoë is a very underrated character and this post will talk about why she deserves more attention and appreciation from the fandom.
(This will contain spoilers to The Titan's Curse. Proceed with caution if you have not read/have not finished the Titan's Curse) Please read the entire thing! This took me a while to write, and i'm lowkey proud of it.
Zoë Nightshade was the daughter of Atlas and Pleione, and one of the Hesperides; nymphs of the sunset. The Hesperides helped guard Hera's tree of Golden Apples that resides in the Garden of the Hesperides. The Hesperides also have to take care of Ladon, the murderous and poisonous serpent like dragon with 100 heads, who guards Hera's tree. In the book it is stated that Zoë used to feed Ladon by hand, which is very brave and dangerous. This is a special bond between Zoë and Ladon which none of the other Hesperides have.
Zoë was later exiled, blotted out as if she never existed, because she helped a hero. She helped Hercules devise a plan to trick her father Atlas so he could retrieve some golden apples. She have him a hairpin which turned into the sword Anaklusmos. When her sisters found out about this, they exiled her. Hercules gave Zoë no credit for helping him, which angered Zoë as she had been through a lot of pain, because her own family exiled and resented her. Thus leading to her grudge against all male heroes, especially Hercules.
Harboring a great resentment for Hercules, Zoë joined the Hunters of Artemis. Where for swearing off of men, she received eternal youth, near-immortality, and invulnerability. And she stayed loyal, she stayed loyal for 2000+ years, which I think was the longest any Hunter stayed in the Hunt. I am pretty sure her fatal flaw is loyalty as staying loyal to someone for over 2000+ years is amazing, and very loyal of someone!! During the quest when Zoë saw Artemis pain she ran towards Artemis crying and screaming to let her go while pulling on the chains, she even tried to take the sky from Artemis, but Artemis didn't allow it. We all know that Zoë would've taken the sky without hesitation, which is very loyal of her. But most people just focus on Annabeth and Percy, which is why so many underrated characters get overlooked because all the fandom pays attention to is Percabeth.
Also, Zoë sacrificed herself so Percy could get Annabeth and so they could rescue Artemis, the 4 would never have gotten to where Atlas was if Zoë didn't distract Ladon, which got her bit. And, when Atlas was about to strike and kill Percy, Zoë shot a bunch of arrows at him, distracting him. So if it weren't for Zoë, there would be a good chance that the four plus Annabeth would either be dead, or become Kronos' minions.
This isn't even half of the amazing things Zoë has done, and not even half of the horrible things she's been through. Zoë is always seen as the girl who said "I can see the stars again My Lady" but she is so much more than that. She is an amazing and complex character who deserves a lot of recognition. thanks for coming to my TED Talk. have a good day!!
