Franco, Naomi, and Marisa were attacked by a swarm of ahogada while trying to close The Rift. Franco was assumed to have been turned into an ahogada himself, but it was later revealed that he survived, and had instead been dragged through the rift and taken prisoner by La Llorona.

After being lured to the Gila by Ondina, Emma Lockwood was dragged under the river by a pack of ahogada.
