Alecto is one of the three Furies, the three chief servants of Hades, and the head torturers in the Underworld.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

In the guise of Percy Jackson's substitute English teacher Miss Dodds, Alecto accompanies Percy's class on a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, constantly glaring at Percy from nearby during Chiron's lecture. As Chiron tells the class about the Twelve Labors of Hercules, Alecto pulls Percy aside into another room.

Appearing on top of some nearby scaffolding, much to Percy's surprise, Alecto transforms into her true form and accuses Percy of stealing the Master Bolt. Attacking the demigod, Alecto demands that Percy hand over the Master Bolt, threatening to bite Percy's heart out otherwise. Grover enters with Chiron who orders Alecto to release Percy, threatening to tear the fury to pieces otherwise. Recognizing the centaur, the angry Fury drops Percy onto the floor and flees out of the window. Chiron is disturbed that he didn't recognize the fury inside of their own school and Percy tells Chiron that Alecto had accused him of stealing a lightning bolt. Chiron realizes that the monsters have found Percy and that he's in danger, telling Grover that they need to move Percy to Camp Half-Blood.

Personality

Alecto is stern, no-nonsense, and sadistic, both as a math teacher and as a lieutenant of Hades.

Trivia

• Unlike in the books and the TV show, this version of Alecto is Percy's substitute English teacher and the reason why she is at Yancy Academy is not specified. She also flees rather than being killed by Percy and is looking for the Master Bolt rather than the Helm of Darkness. She is also called Miss Dodds rather than Mrs. Dodds.
