Greek Dish

Stethi, O harma diaboles!

Annabeth, saying "Stop, Chariot of Damnation!" in Ancient Greek, during The Sea of Monsters

Ancient Greek is the language that was spoken by the ancient inhabitants of Greece, along with its surrounding areas, during the period of civilization known as "Ancient Greece", from the 9th Century BCE to the 6th Century CE. Ancient Greek is also the language of Greek demigods. Dyslexia is common among Greek demigods because their brains are "hard-wired" for Ancient Greek, whereas Roman Demigods understand Latin, as opposed to Ancient Greek. Ancient Greek can be broken into four main dialects and many sub-dialects, and is slightly different from Modern Greek.

Tips[]

  • You only use "℩" where sound shifts from /i/ to /j/ if it's not the case you would use "ι".
  • You only use "ς" at the end of a word. If it's in the middle of a word, you would use "σ".
