Andiron was the son of Alderman and the brother of Hearthstone. He was killed by a Brunnmigi spirit.
History[]
When his brother was a child, he was attacked by a brunnmigi and, due to Hearth’s deafness, his brother did not realize what was going on until it was too late. His father would fail to save him in time but he would kill the spirit and skin it, forcing his surviving son to pay a Wergild.

Magnus is told by Sam of his death after she learned of it from Hearthstone.
The Hammer of Thor[]
Magnus is told of Andiron's death. He is also seen in a picture at his father‘s estate.
The Ship of the Dead[]
Andiron's spirit appears and pleads with Alderman, who was in the form of a dragon. Alderman dismisses him, thinking him to be an illusion by Hearth. Later after Magnus, Blitz and Hearth kill Alderman, Andiron appears once more saying he wished he was kind and good like Hearth and was the only member in Hearth's family that accepted him the way he was.
