The Battle of Nero's Tower is the final battle in the Great Imperial War.
The Trials of Apollo[]
The Tower of Nero[]
When they learn that Nero plans to burn down New York City, the demigods of Camp Half-Blood storm his tower in coordination with the troglodytes. The campers attack the tower as the trogs sabotage the filtration system to keep the Greek Fire from flooding the sewers. However, Nero has a backup plan in place, a system to pump deadly Sassanid Gas into every floor below the throne room. When Apollo learns of this he begs Nero not to do it and the god-emperor gives him fifteen minutes to come to him or else he gasses the tower.
When Apollo arrives, he mocks the mortal god by saying he only brings destruction where he goes and names some of the people and monsters who died around him. He has a group of dryads attack Apollo as he burns one to get the others to cooperate. Soon Meg unleashes her power and puts out the fires and strengthens the trees, she goes over the Apollo before standing up to Nero. Just then Nico di Angelo uses a dead Taurus Sylvestre to break down the door as fighting starts up in the throne room. The son of Hades informs them that the campers know about the gas, but won't leave without them. Just then Nero finds the remote for the gas. However, the trogs disable the system and moments later Rachel Elizabeth Dare, Luguselwa, and Screech-Bling arrive with Nero's fasces and demand his surrender. The god-emperor attacks them and he and Apollo fight over the fasces. Apollo revokes Nero's immortality and Nero dies with the last of his essence being absorbed by Python.
After the battle, Apollo's Cabin works to heal those on both sides.
