Bagheera is a Lamassu owned by Ishtar.

City of the Plague God

When Sikander Aziz, Belet Amari, and Daoud create a perfume from the Flower of Immortality that can cure Nergal's Plague, he and other lamassu take them to Manhattan General Hospital on Ishtar's Chariot. As they fly, they are ambushed by Idiptu and crash into an abandoned office building. He, Sargon, and Sik kill the toad demon to save Daoud and the three continue on as the others stay behind. As they fly, they are stopped by Nergal , but get away when Sik spots a storm could and plans to mix the perfume with the rain.

Bagheera resembles a black panther with feathery wings.

  • He is named after the guardian of Mowgli in Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book and it’s various adaptations. The word is Hindustani for panther or leopard, though "bagh" means "tiger".
