The Basmu Serpent is a a large serpent from Mesopotamian mythology.

City of the Plague God

Mo and Sikander Aziz encourage the Basmu Serpent in the Sea of Tiamat after the brothers retrieve the Flower of Immortality. After nearly getting eaten, Sik uses the magic net he obtained from Gilgamesh to tangle the serpent up. His plan works and the serpent starts to sink.

The Basmu Serpent is over twenty miles long with spikes running along it’s back and scales missing to reveal scared flesh under. It’s mouth is wide enough to swallow the Empire State Building and contains hundreds of smaller heads within it.

  • Some myths say it is terrestrial with wings.
  • It’s Norse counterpart is Jormungand.
