Big Lou is a male Einherjar and resident of Floor 401 in Hotel Valhalla. He is called a great guy by Magnus Chase, but prefers to die from decapitation.

During their daily combat drill, Magnus Chase and his floor mates engaged in a brief sword fight with Lou, who purposefully sought out Halfborn Gunderson since, being seven feet tall, Lou could only enjoy a death by beheading if he was killed by those of equal or greater height, which Halfborn was one of the few that were of such a level.
