Bináá' yee aghání are malevolent shapeshifting birds from Navajo folklore. They are the enemies of the original heroes twins, Monsterslayer and Born of Water.
Race to the Sun[]
A Bináá' yee agháni tries to kill Nizhoni Begay and kidnap her brother to keep his plans in motion.
Appearance[]
In their true form the Bináá' yee aghání resemble human-sized vultures will black wire like hair dangling from their heads and bulging eyes covered in blue veils.
Abilities[]
- Shapeshifting: They can appear in either their true bird forms, as humans, and as anything or anyone else they wish to turn into.
- Paralyzing Gaze: They can paralyze anyone who looks into their eyes, with the exception of Monsterslayer and the inheritors of his power.
