A Bonghwang is a phoenix-like creature from Korean folklore. They reside in the Godrealm and are considered benevolent.

A flock of bonghwang attack Taeyo and Dahl Oh as they retrieve an egg from the canals of the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. As one is about to attack Emmett Harrison, Riley Oh fatally attacks it. She goes into a state of shock as the others tell her she did nothing wrong.
