The unnamed bridge spirit is the spirit of a young girl.

History[]

The bridge spirit died near the bridge, abandoned by her parents. She spent her years alone and miserable. Pahua was cautioned to never approach the bridge she haunted.

Pahua and the Soul Stealer[]

When Pahua Moua, Hailey Jones, Jocelyn, and June come to her bridge. She is surprised Pahua can see her and asks for her to stay. However she has to get her brother and the spirit becomes enraged. She attacks Pahua and scares the other girls. When she sees Pahua's brother, she possesses him.

She leaves the Mortal Realm with Matt and a dozen other spirit. She takes her victims to the Spirit Realm where she grows in power due to taking up a residence outside Xov's prison. Soon Pahua and Zhong Vang arrive at her domain after finding the Thunder Ax. She sits next to Matt, stroking his check as Pahua demanded she let them go. She sics the spirit children on the girls. She sends more to attack Zhong and attacks the young shaman herself before Pahua intervenes. As Pahua goes to destroy her, Pahua remembers how sad and lonely she was and thinks of how she herself was isolated from being different. When she reaches the bridge spirit, Pahua hugs her. She flails in anger, but eventually starts sobbing as Pahua comforts her. She says she cannot remember her before name and says that she is scared. Pahua tells her she knows someone who will care for her and that she will never be lonely again. The bridge spirit then turns into a cloth and heads to the Tree of Souls as the children return to their bodies.

Appearance[]

The bridge spirit is a young-looking girl with a tear-stained face. She has hair that sticks out in a wild tangle, and wears an old-fashioned nightgown that is frayed and soggy. When Pahua first meets her, she is surrounded by wind and frost.

Personality[]

The bridge spirit became lonely and vengeful after years of abandonment. She is dangerously unstable. Whenever someone refuses to remain by her side, she angrily lashes out at them.

However, on the inside, she is simply a young girl who is scared and desperate. Her extreme loneliness and heartbreak led to her being manipulated by the thunder god Xov.
