Cassius is a demigod son of a unknown godly parent who was adopted by Nero.

History[]

Cassius was born to an unknown god and an unnamed mortal. At one point he was taken under the wing of Nero and trained to join the forces of Triumvirate Holdings.

The Trials of Apollo[]

The Tower of Nero[]

Cassius was standing with the other adopted children of Nero when Luguselwa was carried on a stretcher. Later, when Apollo and Meg turn themselves in, Cassius is ordered by Nero to double amputate Luguselwa's hands, which he does so out of fear of Nero but also with great reluctantence.

During the Battle of Nero's Tower, Cassius is seen by Austin Lake and Apollo and gives them the key card to the elevators leading to the private apartments of his family before running away.

Cassius is also seen at Aeithales, with Apollo wondering how Meg managed to track him down.

Appearance[]

Cassius is a young demigod about 8 years old who, according to Apollo, resembles Jason Grace. Apollo also sees him in a dream, where he describes him and 10 of his adopted siblings. According to this, he presumably has a face filled with fear and wonderment of Nero and may have some features related to this.

Relationships[]

Meg McCaffrey[]

Meg Viria

Meg seems to be on close terms with Cassius, as she calls him "Cass" and tries to convince him not to hurt Lu.

During the Battle at Nero's Tower, Austin and Apollo ran into Cass at the elevators and he handed Apollo Meg's rings to return them to her, possibly out of guilt.

Later, she tracks him down and brings him with the rest of their siblings to Palm Springs.

Etymology[]

  • Cassius is a name of ancient Roman origin. Specifically, it is a Roman family name that was possibly derived from Latin word cassus, meaning "empty" or "vain".
