However it is really Gum Baby and Tristan tells everyone of the prank he and Eddie pulled. They survey the city before splitting into groups, she goes with Ayanna while Tristan goes with Gum Baby. They meet up before going to Nyame's Palace. They enter and find a statue of Nyame and a trap door. When Tristan tells the story of how Anansi gave stories to humanity, a booming voice is heard. The statue is revealed to be the sky god restrained and paralyzed by iron monsters. She goes to Ayanna as Tristan continues the story to lure them away from Nyame and tells them to touch a statue. Tristan saves them by throwing Gum Baby at a statue that came to life to take out the bosslings. After they plead with Nyame for the story box, the sky god agrees but he reveals he does not have it.
They reach Anansi's Palace and Tristan finds a hidden entrance. She jots down notes as they walk and find a room full of dissected fetterlings and Tristan realizes the story box is hidden in the Ridge. They talk about the city’s defenses and transportation system. As they dodge lasers she is huddled under Tristan‘s backpack, which is fasened to the raft, as they dodge lasers and land in a train. They ride in the trash car for a few minutes before flying into a tunnel that leads to the Ridge and she is exited to learn more about the Ridgfolk, however they are quickly apprehended. They are brought before a spirit who tries them for abducting their people, believing them to be the guilty party. She watches as Tristan describes how he is responsible for the chaos to the Ridgefolk. Soon after the Abiyoyo Tristan created starts attacking the Ridgefolk and she takes cover. After it is defeated, the Ridgefolk give them the story box, but soon a man arrives and asks for the box, he introduces himself as High John. When he says iron monsters have overrun MidPass, she becomes distraught but Tristan calms her down. When Tristan returns to his body she stares at him and is shocked at the poor state of the story box. They have a meal and decide whether to go back to MidPass or have Nyame fix the box. When iron monsters attack she hides. She identifies the Hullbeast and warns the others that it carries brand flies. After the battle ends she informs Tristan and High John that Ayanna is not breathing. When they fly away she is revealed to have been stung as well.
When they arrive in the Golden Cresent, she and Ayanna are brought to a Mmoatia, fairy, who tries to heal them. They make a full recovery and she is shocked to learn Anansi has been impersonating Brer Rabbit. She goes with her group to watch Anansi's sentencing and says goodbye to Tristan after revealing she will be inducted in to the warren society once the Thicket is rebuilt.
