Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

When on a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chiron has Percy Jackson answers questions on Greek mythology. After he and Grover Underwood witness Percy being attacked by Alecto, he threatens the fury and tasks Grover with escorting Percy to Camp Half-Blood.

Three days later, Percy wakes up and, as Grover gives Percy a tour of camp, he trouts over to the pair and joins them. He brings Percy to his cabin and the boy realizes his father is Poseidon. During Capture the Flag, he watches Percy face off against Annabeth Chase and other members of the red team, refusing to intervene as he finds it entertaining.

After Hades demands Percy give him the Master Bolt in exchange for his mother, Chiron orders Percy to stay at camp as he sorts things out. Telling the son of Poseidon his best chance is to plead his innocence in front of the gods. However Percy ignores him and goes west with Grover and Annabeth.

After war is adverted, Chiron congratulates Percy but says he needs more training.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters

As he and Dionysus watch campers attempting the obstacle tower, he asks the god why he tortures himself by attempting to drink wine during his punishment only for it to turn into water. When Tyson crosses the barrier and claims to be a son of Poseidon, he summons Percy to the Big House to inform him of the new arrival.

After Luke Castellan poisons Thalia's Pine Tree, he searches for an antidote and, when Percy asks about the Great Prophecy, Chiron sends the boy to the attic to speak with the Oracle of Delphi.

After the Golden Fleece is obtained, Chiron speaks with Percy on the meaning behind the prophecy as he has yet to turn twenty as Percy says he will master his own destiny.

Appearance

From the waist up, Chiron resembles a man with thick brown hair and beard- gray later on- and brown eyes. From the waist down, he resembles a brown horse.

Chiron is wise, courageous, and caring.
