Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood arrive in Denver, the state capital, and are greeted by Ares. He agrees to get them a ride if they can get his shield from Waterland.
The Battle of the Labyrinth[]
After escaping Daedalus' Workshop Percy and Annabeth, along with Rachel Elizabeth Dare and Nico di Angelo end up in the Garden of the Gods and search the nearby town, Colorado Springs, for an entrance into the Labyrinth. They find one in the Western Museum of Mining and Industry.

Nizhoni Begay, Mac Begay, and Davery Descheny go to Sisnaajiní, a mountain in the southern portion of the state, to get a perfect white shell for Spider Woman. Nizhoni is later taken to Dibé Nitsaa, another mountain in the state, to find its guardian Black Jet Girl.
