Dictys is the king of Serefos.

Dictys was born to the same parents as his brother Polydectes, who became king of the island. The brothers did not get along and he chose to live as a fisherman. One day, he fished Danaë and Perseus out of the sea and brought them to his brother. Seventeen years later, his brother tries to wed the princess of Argos but the king is petrified. The son of Zeus then crowns him as the new king of Serefos.
