Later during services at temple, which they are late to, they watch as one of the elder's granddaughter has her elemental affiliation revealed, and are warned about an exiled clan trying to get back into the congregation.

Two days later on Hattie's thirteenth birthday, she watches with her husband and Riley as Hattie completes her initiation and becomes a full member of the Gifted Community. She and her husband watch in shock as their daughters perform a power sharing ritual. After her sister reveals that Riley is really a Horangi, they sadly confirm it. The family and her sister are given a choice to make by the end of the week, either all of them are stripped of their magic and excommunicated or Riley is banished like the other Horangi. After Eunha and her husband find the letter his daughters left about summoning Mago Halmi, they try desperately to call them to no avail.

She and James have a Samjogo seer track her to the Horangi and they and Okja go to get Riley. When they arrive Emmett Harrison fills them in and she, her husband, sister, daughter, Emmett, Sora Kwon, Austin, and Taeyo go to a shed to talk. They hug Riley and accuse her birth parents of kidnapping and brainwashing her. When Riley accuses her sister of a coverup, Okja reveals her suspicions of Bongjoon Pyo, the Samjogo elder, of being behind it due to his recent erratic behavior. The group form am uneasy alliance and head to Los Angeles. They arrive at Mr. Pyo's place of work and, after Taeyo hacks into his calendar to make an appointment for his relatives, they walk right in. They find him in a meeting and, when he sees them, runs as they give chase. They corner him in his car as Sora, Austin, and Taeyo subdue him. Riley asks why he framed the Horangi. Mr.Pyo tells them Sookhee Harrison was behind everything before he comes to the realization that she was possessed by the Cave Bear Goddess as part of a plan for her and her sisters to destroy the artifacts, which are actually pieces of the dark moon and dark sun, to erase their sin so that they can enter the Mortalrealm and do what they please with humanity. After realizing the Cave Bear Goddess can possess members of the Gom, Riley asks if they can sever the clan's ties to her. Although hesitant at first, Okja reveals a spell exists and she and her husband agree to it. Just then Areum arrives and says the Dokkaebi know where the artifact is. As they question where to even find a dokkaebi, Mr. Pyo says one lives in the forty-fourth room on the forty-forth floor of the temple. They leave the elder behind and, after stopping at the Tokki elder's house for a sleeping potion, they reach the temple and argue over who is going to make a deal with the dokkaebi. When they reach the room, the decide on the Ohs going in. As her she drinks the potion, she falls asleep as her husband and daughter watch over her. As she speaks, the goblin agrees to give her the star exchange for the life of one of her daughters, something she couldn’t do. She wakes up sobbing ten minutes later and relies what happened as James comforts her.

The others enter the room and, as Riley had their memories of her erased to find the last fallen star, they do not recognize her and are surprised that she knows about their plan to sever the Gom from the Cave Bear Goddess. After she returns Emmett's ring and takes out Taeyo's compass, she believes it is the last fallen star and they head to the Gi Sanctuary. The Cave Bear Goddess arrives and asks Riley for the star. She then requests Hattie and the goddess obliges. She, James, and Riley hug Hattie, who is incredibly thin with a gray hue to her skin. Suddenly Hattie starts to spasm before speaking in the voice of Sookhee Harrison. After she explains to her son what she did and how she regained her sense of self, she turns into a jaguar and goes to the afterlife. Riley berates the goddess for not returning Hattie, the goddess responds that, as she and the other goddesses are the daughters of Mago Halmi, all others are beneath them. Okra then starts the spell to sever the goddess from a Gom, binding the two with thread. Riley goes to cut off threads, but fails to do so as she realizes to late that the compass is not the star. As the Cave Bear Goddess berates Riley, for betraying her, Riley says she is powerless in the Mortalrealm without a host. Just then the goddess tries to possess Okja. She and the others try and fail to stop the goddess. She heals James after the goddess sends him flying at the Gom pews and they both heal Areum after she shields Riley from an attack. She and the others are shocked when Riley announces that she is the last fallen star and watch as she destroys the statue of her clan's patron goddess, expelling the Cave Bear Goddess from her sister and the mortalrealm.

As things calm down, she and James thank Riley for returning their daughter to them. As they continue to mourn, Riley is given a wish by the Haetae to undo anything from her past and she decides to resurrect Hattie. He does so and, after a delay, Hattie is resurrected. They all cheer and the Ohs hug and promise to find a way to restore their memories of Riley as they fill Hattie in.

After learning what Riley did, she, James, Sora, Austin, and Riley's friends gather in the Gi Sanctuary at the temple. They are overjoyed when she wakes up and are shocked to learn Dahl is her twin. After she and her husband express their desire for their healing magic, they rub their wrists to find that their marks have returned while the other clans lost their gifts. He and the others are surprised when Dahl inadvertently summons the Haetae, who warns them the goddesses are preparing for war. When the Haetae leaves, Riley restores Eunha's memories of her, as well as the other Gom and Horangi present, and they all embrace.

The Last Fallen Realm[]

Eunha and her family gather in Las Vegas to prepare for war with the rest the American Gifted Community. When they sky vanishes, she and James meet up with Riley and Dahl to discuss current events. As they theorize this is the goddesses first move until Hattie calls with Yeomra the Great to inform them the mayor thinks that Riley’s traveling between realms is the cause of it. As Riley blames herself and the others reassure her she is not responsible, the mayor says that the Godrealm has started seeping into the Mortalrealm and will soon seep into the Spiritrealm. Hattie reveals she has been having a dream about a dragon emerging from the Trevi Fountain and thinks it is Yongwang, the leader of the underwater borough of the Spiritrealm who has been missing from centuries. After Hattie mentions she rises from the water, she and her husband interpret this as a sigh that her body will wake up. Dahl finds a replica of the fountain at Caesar’s Palace and suggests they go there. Upon arriving, the group is greeted by Taeyo and she and James enter a trance and hear something, but forget what it is upon snapping out of it. The teenagers move them to a bench to rest. Soon a man in a weeding cake costume hands them a flyer for two horses getting married named Charles and Maru. After looking at the flyer, Riley realizes that Charles is the Cheollima who guarded the temple library. After seeing a thumbprint, they realize it is a scale after comparing it to Boris. They realize the wedding has started and that is is inside the palace. They grab her and her husband and head inside. During the ceremony, she and James watch in a daze. When it was finished, they wandered off. They join other adults in a trance and wander into a wax museum before filling up against a wall. Riley inspects them to find them cold but alive.

After the goddesses start to merge the realms, she and her husband are brought forth to subdue Riley, but they are given gummies and freed from their mind control. After the goddesses lure Riley into a trap in a theater, Namjoon, Boris, Hattie, Emmett, James, Eunha, Taeyo, Cosette, Noah, Jennie, Sahm, Charles, Maru, Okja, Sora, Austin, Emmett, the Haetae- with the mayor in its jaws, Phoebe, and two other members of RilOh arrive. As the goddesses are distracted, Riley destroys the key and gives a piece of Mago's Fire to everyone, including the goddesses, who revert to infant animals. As everyone takes in their victory, Emmett suggests the Yeomra be made a janitor as the mayor pleads for death instead. As everyone thinks of ways to separate the realms, Riley knows the only way is for her to become the new sun. The others try to talk Riley out of it, but she insists it is the only way. They say their goodbyes and Riley uses Emmett’s bracelet to link herself into her loved ones and the goddesses.
