Flordeliza de León is a ghost who wants to use Corazon Lopez's soul key to return to life and find the ghost of her son.
History[]
In life, Flordeliza was a wealthy land owner. However, she ran into various men who saw her position of wealth and status as dangerous as she was a woman. In particular, Padre Fransico was threatened by Flordeliza and her husband Aurelio, but in private, the friar lusted after her. However, Flordeliza rejected Fransico's advances in disgust. Eventually, this led to the locals attacking her home, killing Flordeliza's husband and son while she was in hiding. In her rage and grief, Flordeliza burned down her home and the nearby village, killing everyone, including herself.
As a ghost, Flordeliza endlessly searched for her son, unable to find him and move on. She eventually became one of the restless spirits living at the end of Midnight Bridge who desperately sought to return to the world of the living.
The Spirit Glass[]
Corazon Lopez encounters Flordeliza's spirit at the end of the Midnight Bridge where restless spirits thrived and moaned, desperate to return to the world of the living. The ghost offers to teach Corazon magic in return for her soul key, but Corazon refuses, sensing that something isn't right. During the encounter, Flordeliza plucks a strand of hair from Corazon which allows her to follow the girl home.
Flordeliza later invades Tina's House and overpowers Tina's magic, stealing Corazon's Soul Key from her so that she can search for her "light." In order to get the soul key back, Tina sends Corazon on a quest to create a soul key specific to Flordeliza so that she can be bound and forced into the Beyond while Tina forces her to the Library of Mirrors. As the key is forged, Corazon is shown some of Flordeliza's memories of being human.
During a final confrontation at the Library of Mirrors, after seeing Flordeliza's memories through her soul key, Corazon realizes that the ghost is searching for her son and reunites Flordeliza with Corazon's ghostly friend Leo who is actually Aurelio Moretto the Second, Flordeliza's son. Upon being reunited with Leo, Flordeliza resumes the appearance that she had in life and willingly passes into the Beyond with Leo, at peace at last. Corazon briefly sees Flordeliza and Leo reuniting with Flordeliza's husband in the Beyond.
