As he and his group are wondering through a valley, they are superised when a child falls onto their donkey before passing out. They take the boy with them and offer him to join them for dinner when he wakes up. The boy introduces himself as Denme and catches a rabbit for dinner. As they eat they sing about Cumhail's death, unaware his son is with them. When they come across a robber, he and the other men are killed.
