"Hysterical Woman" was a film exclusive character in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. She was petrified by Medusa.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief[]
She and her husband stop at Aunty Em's Gnome Emporium to ask for directions. However, they encountered Medusa and her husband got petrified. She runs and encounters Annabeth Chase, who she tries to save. However they run into Medusa and she is tricked into making eye contact, she is instantly petrified. She was still holding onto Annabeth, so she couldn't get free until Grover Underwood used one of his crutches to break off the stone arm.
Annabeth later mentions to Percy that the poor woman had a tight grip, her arm got bruised. Percy Jackson was able to heal it using the water in a motel pool.
