Summary[]
Annabeth Chase dreams of the night Thalia Grace sacrificed herself and remembers the eulogy Chiron gave, stating how the daughter of Zeus will protect Camp Half-Blood in her new form. Luke Castellan questions how Zeus could let this happen to his own daughter as Annabeth hears Thalia's voice coming from the tree. In the present, Annabeth wakes up and realizes that the Golden Fleece can heel Thalia. She finds herself restrained to a cot in a cargo hold on the Princess Andromeda with the fleece draped over her. She hears footsteps coming towards her and pretends to sleep as Alison Simms takes the fleece.
In Montauk, the Princess Andromeda docks at a harbor. One of the demigods onboard, a son of Aphrodite named Aidan, uses Charmspeak to convince the Harbor Master to allow them to dock for repairs. As he walks, Aidan hears Alison's voice coming from a restaurant and follows it. When he enters the kitchen, he is ambushed by Clarisse La Rue, Grover Underwood, Percy Jackson, and Tyson. The son of Aphrodite tries to talk his way out of the situation, but the others restrain him and take his keycard. After getting the whereabouts of Annabeth and the fleece, Percy insists he uses Annabeth's hat to sneak aboard and get the daughter of Athena and the fleece. However, Clarisse insists they get the fleece only. As Grover enters to inform them that he is unable to get an Iris Message to camp, Percy grabs the keycard and doubles down on getting Annabeth first while Clarisse states that the fleece is more important and demands the hat and keycard. After the daughter of Ares insists she go alone, Percy reminds her of the failure part of her prophecy. She grabs the keycard and leaves after he mentions how to get to where the fleece is being held. Percy leaves to find another keycard and tasks Tyson and Grover with finding a ride back to camp.
In the Admiralty Suite, Luke gazes at Annabeth's Knife as the daughter of Apollo walks in with the fleece. When the son of Hermes scolds her for taking it from the daughter of Athena, she insists they use it on Kronos rather then Annabeth. After Alison lists Annabeth's actions against them, Luke takes the fleece and drapes it over Kronos' Sarcophagus.
As Percy sneaks onboard the Princess Andromeda, he makes his way to the pool and hears whinnying coming from a curtained off area. He hides when he sees a woman exiting it and, using Annabeth's hat, traps her in an empty snack bar. He goes behind the curtains and finds the Pegasus Luke used as escape after poisoning Thalia's tree. The pegasus, who introduces himself as Blackjack, asks Percy to free him. The son of Poseidon does so, telling Blackjack to stay quiet, leaving soon after.
Meanwhile, Clarisse sneaks onto the Princess Andromeda, she finds an armory. She enters and examines the weapons, but hides behind a row of lockers when she hears enemy demigods coming. She overhears them questioning how the gods have stops Iris Messages when a Laistrygonian Giant enters and mocks their concerns. The rogue demigods fight Aidan's Mythomagic cards and start playing. The daughter of Ares watches in frustration.
In the cargo hold, Annabeth struggles to free herself when Percy appears before her and frees her. He tells her Grover is safe and informs her Clarisse is getting the fleece. Luke enters and Percy turns invisible while Annabeth covers herself with a blanket. After checking on her, Luke states that Kronos is healing because of Percy. Annabeth insists he did it to save her and covertly tells Percy to get the fleece. Percy leaves as Luke tries to convince Annabeth to join his cause.
Back on shore, Grover stands watch over a pickup truck as Tyson hotwires it. However the cyclops is unable to drive. Grover suggests the Hippocampaii, but Tyson reveals he told them to leave. After suggesting they seek help, Tyson suggests they call Sally Jackson. As Sally is shopping for groceries in Montauk, she gets their call. She asks how everything is going and becomes suspicious after they mention they need a ride. Grover tries to convince her they were accidentally left behind on a field trip, but Sally calls their bluff demands answers, leaving to get them once they give her the whole story.
In the Admiralty Suite, Alison is reading a magazine when she gets orders from Kronos to kill Annabeth. She obeys and leaves.
In the cargo hold, Luke tries to tell Annabeth that her taking the fleece would lead to unnecessary death as she tells him she thinks it could be used to resurrect Thalia. Luke is stunned by the statement, thinking she is lying as Kronos told him the daughter of Zeus was gone for good. As he mulls on her words, Kronos causes him to have a headache. While he is distracted, Annabeth gets out of bed.
Alison heads to the armory to gather more forces, telling them of her orders to kill Annabeth, and they leave. Once they do, Clarisse gathers weapons before heading out after them.
Percy arrives in the Admiralty Suite and finds the fleece. As he approaches the sarcophagus, Kronos speaks to him. Percy remembers that the Titan King told him how the son of Poseidon's survival was paramount to his return, and Percy realizes Kronos needs him to fulfill the Great Prophecy. Percy reaches for the fleece and Kronos stops him, promising to tell him the whole prophecy if the boy leaves the fleece. Percy calls his bluff as the Titan King recites the prophecy. Percy takes the fleece as Luke arrives. The two half-bloods draw their swords and fight. During the fighting, Percy is knocked into the sarcophagus and runs away as Luke is forced to stop it from falling over. He makes his way to the elevator, but is stabbed by the son of Hermes just as the door closes. The son of Poseidon uses the fleece on himself to heal himself. He emerges from the elevator fully healed and makes his way to the pool.
In the cargo hold, Alison and the others arrive and prepare to kill the daughter of Athena as the Laistrygonian stands watch over. Annabeth hides and readies for battle as the others search for her. Clarisse arrives, killing the Laistrygonian, and prepares to take on the rogue demigods. Clarisse deflects the daughter of Apollo's arrows and takes her out before the daughter of Ares focuses on her next opponent. One of the rogue demigods finds Annabeth, but she holds her own and defeats him. The girls take out the last of the enemies as an alarm sounds. Clarisse initially doubts Percy found the fleece, but the two then correctly assume that he did as they run.
The girls make their way to the pool and are confronted by enemy demigods. The followers of Kronos are taken out by Blackjack just as Percy arrives. Annabeth is concerned seeing blood on Percy's shirt, as the son of Poseidon, gives Clarisse the fleece and tells her to take Blackjack back to camp. Clarisse questions his motives as Percy states they simply need to get the fleece to camp as quickly as possible. He apologizes for using her prophecy against her and states she would have failed if she relied solely on herself. The daughter of Ares takes the fleece and heads to camp, thanking him before flying off.
Percy and Annabeth go to shore, where Tyson tells them to follow him. The cyclops takes them to Percy’s mother and, once the son of Poseidon is over his shock, they get in. As they drive, they fill Sally in on current events. As Annabeth questions Grover about how long it will take for Thalia to be revived, he is uncertain. While they talk, Percy thinks about his dream of Thalia and wonders if the daughter of Zeus will side with Camp or Kronos.
In the Admiralty Suite, Luke confronts Kronos, asking what he did not tell him that the fleece could save Thalia as Kronos induces another headache. The son of Hermes declares his loyalty as the Titan King orders him to destroy Camp Half-Blood and kill Percy.

- Annabeth’s Yankees Cap falls out of Percy's pocket during his duel with Luke and is left in the admiralty suite of Princess Andromeda.
- The Party Ponies are absent, and Sally Jackson instead drives Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson from Long Island Pier to Camp Half-Blood.
- In the book, Clarisse takes the plane to go back to camp, while here Clarisse takes Blackjack, Percy's Pegasus.
- Similar to Season 1, the plane ride is omitted, and the battle before the plane ride, Percy vs. Ares, and the Party Ponies vs. Luke's army happen in New York near Camp Half-Blood.
Trivia[]
- The title is derived from Chapter Sixteen of The Sea of Monsters, while the episode itself adapts Chapters 16-18.
- The car that Sally is driving is a blue Toyota Prius with a bumper sticker on it that says "I'D RATHER BE TEACHING!" This may be a reference to Paul Blofis, Percy's future stepfather, who owns a Toyota Prius as mentioned in The Last Olympian.
