Jennie Byun's Hameoni was a member of the Samjogo Clan and the grandmother of Jennie Byun.

History

She would watch her granddaughter when her parents were at work. When Jennie was five, she taught her how to make a kite after her favorite kite, Mr. Magpie, was destroyed after landing in a tree. When she died, she didn’t pass on as she wanted to say a final goodbye to her granddaughter, becoming a gwisin for years.

The Last Fallen Star

After activating his ghost communication app, Taeyo gets her attention after and agrees to help. After he delivers the message, she asks if there is anything she can do for them, Riley Oh requests she track down Sookhee Harrison. She screens but tells Sookhee's son that his mother is now a vengeful ghost haunted by her guilt over being tricked into stealing an artifact by a friend. She says her final goodbyes to Jennie before passing on.

The Last Fallen Moon

After receiving word from Taeyo that the gifted community has lost its magic, she finds Riley and informs her of the news. She also checks on her granddaughter after the girl was almost expunged.

Personality

She is a caring woman who loves her granddaughter.

Abilities

• Mystiokinesis: As a witch, she is able to use magic. She lost her magic, along with most of the gifted community, when the goddesses disowned their clans. She regained the ability after Riley Oh became the new sun.
  • Seeing: As a member of the Samjogo Can, she can see into the future by touching an object.
