Jid al-Abbas is the husband of Bibi al-Abbas, the father of Ayesha al-Abbas, and the maternal grandfather of Samirah al-Abbas.

Jid and his wife Bibi were born in Iraq and immigrated to America when Saddam Hussein took power. They had a daughter named Ayesha who became a doctor, but she was rebellious and Jid and Bibi worried about her. They eventually became grandparents with the birth of their granddaughter Samirah and took her in after Ayesha died. He and his wife arranged a marriage between their granddaughter and Amir Fadlan
