Liz is a British girl and one of Sadie Kane's best friends. Liz is, as Sadie has termed, "boy-crazed" and Sadie has admitted to having passed notes from Liz and Emma to other guys.
Liz is mentioned when Sadie pulls a picture of her and her friends out of a drawer. She is also said to think that Carter is "hot".
She is first seen along with Emma heading to Sadie's grandparents' flat for her birthday. Sadie had to lead her away from the flat, because she is being chased by the gods Nekhbet and Babi, who are using her grandparents as hosts. Tucked under Liz's arm was Sadie's birthday present, but it was squashed during their escape.
While running, they bump into Anubis, god of funerals, and Liz is tongue-tied in front of him, irritating Sadie. Liz is also stunned when Anubis kisses Sadie and thinks he is Sadie's boyfriend. On a train ride to Waterloo Station, Sadie explains her new life to her friends who accept it. They jump off at the wrong station but run into Sadie's ride, Bes, god of dwarfs. After Babi's and Nekhbet's defeat, Liz and Emma stay with Sadie's grandparents after Sadie leaves.
Sadie says that years ago, she visited synagogue with Liz, revealing that Liz is most likely Jewish.
Being friends with Sadie, Liz is a strong girl (as Sadie notes) that doesn't hang out with weak people. However, she has a tendency to be shy and tongue-tied around attractive guys, like Anubis. After discovering that Sadie is a magician, Liz is surprised by how much her friend has changed.
Liz is a redhead with a lot of freckles and a pale face. When she gets embarrassed or overexerts herself, she becomes so flushed that her freckles disappear. She is often teased about that by Sadie and Emma, her other friend. She was dressed more sensibly than Emma, wearing jeans and trainers, a white top and denim jacket.
- Liz, like Emma, has a tendency to act foolish around guys they find attractive.
