Marie Laveau was a renowned Voodoo Queen, healer and pacifist. She was stationed in New Orleans, keeping Mormo at bay for years and she tried many during her time on Earth, but none were strong enough to entrap him.

Marie Laveau was first mentioned by Hades as a gifted demigod that was stationed in New Orleans until she died "recently". Marie Laveau later appears as a spirit as a mist began to ooze from the wall until it coalesced into her spirit to aid Zane Carver in his quest to defeat Mormo. Marie warned Zane that the zombies and ghosts will keep coming until he is overwhelmed and to neutralize Mormo using an object of power until she vanished.
