“ | Look, I want you to know one thing. Those kids up here? They’re family. I treat them like they’re my own blood. And I’m not gonna let anything put them in danger. I do what I do because no one else can, and it needs to be done. Kids like that, someone sees them on the street trying to hustle up food and they’re liable to call the police on them, and that’s the last thing they need. They need help, not a record. Once they’re in the system, there’s no getting out. That’s why I do what I do. | ” |

Tristan Strong Keeps Punching[]
After being saved from a Coffle by Tristan Strong and Jess, and evading two masked figures looking for children, Memphis appears and shows Tristan, addressing him by name, an article about the incident in the French Quarter, dubbing it a riot and showing a picture of him angrily throwing a drink. They have Jess take the children away so they and Tristan can talk. They push him to know who took the picture and he realizes the photographer was in front of him. Memphis emphasizes the work they do to keep the children safe from the monsters and society and how the public ignored the coffles because their minds are conditioned to see what they want to see. Memphis says Tristan should stay for the night and takes him to a room where he meets someone who told Memphis about him, Ayanna. They lead Tristan and Ayanna to the Mississippi and Tristan gives them Seraphine's contact information as thanks.
