Not part of Riordanverse
The following article/section is from the City of the Plague God continuity under Rick Riordan Presents and not the Riordanverse canon. |
Mo's is a deli in Manhattan operated by the Aziz family. The deli serves Arabic and Mediterranean style foods. The Aziz family, and Daoud, live in an apartment above the deli.
Description
Mo's is located on the corner of Fifteenth and Siegal in Manhattan, New York City. It used to have photos of Mo and his pressed flowers hanging on the wall before Nergal came in and destroyed it looking for the flower of immortality. Mo's is famous for it's Baghdad chili sauce, a legendary sauce that Gilgamesh describes as "a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
City of the Plague God
Sikander Aziz and Daoud are closing up the deli as Sik hears something from the alley behind the deli and goes to investigate. They find Sidana and Idiptu in the back alley eating rats from the dumpster. Sik traps them in trash cans, but they get out. Then Nergal shows up, and he and Sidana and Idiptu destroy the deli looking for the flower of immortality.
After Nergal's plague sweeps through Manhattan, the deli is further destroyed by fire and hateful graffiti. After that, Daoud and the Lamassu take refuge in the apartment above the deli.
One month later, the deli was repaired after an anonymous benefactor, Belet Amari, paid for a state of the art kitchen and Turkish tables. The Aziz family is close to finishing repairs and plans to reopen the following day.
