Montauk is a village on Long Island and is where Percy Jackson and his mom would occasionally vacation. This place brings memories to Sally Jackson as she claims that Poseidon brought her here before and it is also close to the sea. Percy was conceived here by Sally Jackson and Poseidon.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians[]

The Lightning Thief[]

After Percy returns from Yancy Academy at the end of the school year, he and his mom decide to go to Montauk for a few days. During that night, there was a storm brewing and Grover turned up warning Sally about the danger Percy was in. Sally asked Percy to tell her what had happened during the school year and Percy told her about Mrs. Dodds and the three old ladies knitting yarn. They quickly left Montauk to go to Camp Half-Blood, being pursued by the Minotaur.

The Titan's Curse[]

Percy mentions that before the events of the book, his mother had took him to Montauk a couple times in the fall and taught him how to drive on empty beach roads.

Demigods & Magicians[]

The Son of Sobek[]

When hearing of a giant crocodile rampage through Montauk, Carter Kane goes there to check out the reports and teams up with Percy Jackson to stop the crocodile.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (TV series)[]

"We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of"[]

Percy, Annabeth and Grover are teleported to Montauk from the Underworld by Poseidon's Pearls where they are confronted by Ares.

"The Prophecy Comes True"[]

Percy fights and defeats Ares on the Montauk beach, recovering Hades' Helm of Darkness. In the Montauk cabin, Percy gives the Helm to Alecto to return it to Hades before leaving for Olympus with the Master Bolt, sending his friends back to Camp Half-Blood at the same time.

At the end of the summer, Percy reunites with his mother at the Montauk cabin.

Percy later experiences a nightmare in which Kronos appears to him at the cabin, warning Percy that his survival is the key to the Titan's return.
