While on their way to the Underworld, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood arrive in Las Vegas after their ride, the illegal animal smuggling company Kindness International, stops in the city. The trio arrives at the Lotus Hotel and Casino, where they unknowingly spend five days before taking a cab to Los Angeles.
The Titan's Curse
While traveling to San Francisco, Percy, Thalia Grace, Grover and Zoë Nightshade stop at the Hoover Dam, which is stationed along the Nevada-Arizona border, where they are attacked by Skeleton Warriors and flee with the help of two winged Automations.
