New Mexico is a state located in Southwest United States of America.
During the quest, Percy Jackson, Thalia Grace, Zoë Nightshade, Bianca di Angelo and Grover Underwood stopped for a while in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. After Zoë, Grover and Thalia go to get food, the group is ambushed by skeleton warriors. Grover feels the wild calling him. At the same time, Erymanthian boar flies out of the bushes and attacks everything. It kills skeletons and attacks to the group. Percy saves the team. Grover tells Percy that he heard Pan's voice say "I await you."
Annabeth Chase, Rachel Elizabeth Dare, Percy Jackson and Nico di Angelo escape from Kronos and find Grover's barret in the labyrinth. They go into a cave. They see Grover and Tyson.They see Grover fainted because they came to Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico where Pan lying on a bad. Pan tells Grover that he should died two thousand years ago, but the satyrs prevented his passing. He says that it's his time to go. Pan tells Grover to tell the others about his death. He individually addresses Percy, Annabeth, Tyson and Rachel but doesn't address Nico. As Pan fades, some of his energy goes into everyone in the room with a little more going to Grover.
New Mexico is the home of Zane Obispo and his family, who live in an unnamed town within the state.
Zane returns to his old home in New Mexico to find the godborns and sees his old home destroyed. He finds evidence that Brooks and Hondo were their earlier and were captured by an unknown emery who is later revealed to be the hero twins.
