The Norns are female beings in Norse mythology, who utter prophecies of upcoming future events and control the destiny of both gods and mortals.

The Norns appear after Magnus's death is shown. They reveal that he is a son of Frey and recite a prophecy.
Appearance
The Norns are described in The Sword of Summer as three 9-feet-tall women shrouded in white. Under their hoods, their faces are beautiful, but unnerving – blank white, even their eyes, with their skin being like sculpted snow. Trailing behind them is a sheet of fog like a bridal train.
