Ares, the god of war and bloodthirst

Ares/Mars

Ares frequently utilizes odikinesis in order to start violent fights as often as he pleases. Hence, Percy always feels angry in his presence "as if I wanted to hit a wall or start a fight." The god of war can also instantly cure "battle jitters", as he did with Frank. Due to his odikinetic abilities, Ares is disliked by nearly all of his fellow Olympians.

Children of Ares/Mars

The god of war's children also have this ability (though to a much lesser degree), notable examples being Clarisse, Deimos, Phobos, and Backbeard. Due to unique violence and bloodthirst Edward Teach (aka Blackbeard) was one of the most feared pirates of all time, and always used his odikinetic abilities while raiding ships. Clarisse, another child of Ares, was a hot-tempered and arrogant bully, never having problems with inducing violent fights with other campers, earning a formidable reputation as the one who that dunks new campers' heads in toilets. A notable exception is Frank Zhang, who was far more peaceful than any of his half-siblings, and had an initial aversion towards war. Thus, Frank has no odikinetic abilities.
