Not Part of Riordanverse
The following article/section is from the Thousand Worlds continuity under Rick Riordan Presents and not the Riordanverse canon. |
The Pale Lightning is a top-of-the-line battle cruiser of the Space Forces. It is home to officers, technicians, and cadets of all shapes, sizes, and supernatural races, as long as they confine themselves to human form. The ship includes standard barracks, a mess hall, medical bay, and artificial gravity to keep everyone on their feet.[1]
Description[]
From the outside, the Pale Lightning resembled a tube with a ring around its middle, which the ship spun when it had to generate artificial gravity the hard way. The ship's levels were concentric cylinder shells around that ring, which is why the passageways were curved. A series of elevators connected the different levels, and there were backup maintenance shafts in case of power failure.[2]
The captain's outer office featured an impressive white carpet and an immense desk bolted to the deck. An old-fashioned sword in its sheath hung on the wall, fixed in place by several ornament brackets.[3]
Structure[]
The ship is headed by the Captain, if the captain is absent then the penultimate highest ranking officer is tasked with running the ship until the captain returns or a replacement can be found.
Cadets can be found on the ship, who usually go around performing tasks such as patrol or maintenance or attending classes held by low ranking officers.
