Persephone's Garden is a garden owned by Persephone, filled with different kinds of her favourite plants and flowers. It was a gift from her husband Hades. The most prominent fruit there is the pomegranate, which makes the consumer stay in, go or return to the Underworld.

Percy Jackson, Grover Underwood, and Annabeth Chase go through the garden whilst on their way to Hades' Palace on their quest. Grover is really tempted to eat a big juicy pomegranate due to its strong tart smell, even though Annabeth warned him to keep walking through the garden, but fortunately Percy pulls him away.

Percy, Thalia Grace, and Nico di Angelo were assembled together and fell down through a hole to the Underworld. After journeying and making it to Hades' palace, they walked through Persephone's garden.

In Percy's dream, Nico is seen trapped in a bronze jar by Otis and Ephialtes. Percy sees five pomegranate seeds by Nico's feet which Nico's half sister, Hazel Levesque, confirms are from the garden of their step-mother Persephone.

Appearance

According to Percy Jackson, Persephone's Garden was the strangest garden he had ever seen. There are weird luminous plants that grow without sunlight, such as beautiful subterranean trees glow in the dark and white birch trees soaring into the air like frozen ghosts. There also are poisonous scrubs and multi-colored mushrooms. In the center of the garden is an orchard of pomegranate trees, its fruit has an overwhelmingly sweet tart smell, and their orange blossoms neon bright in the dark. A brook wended through the middle of the garden.

Seemingly trying to compensate the lack of normal flowers, there are precious jewels, such as clumps of raw diamonds and piles of rubies as big as an human adult's fist. There are also crystal trees and flower beds overflowed with golden plants and gemstones. The paths are sculpted with rubies and topaz. Medusa's garden statues of petrified children, satyrs, and centaurs stand here and there and smiling grotesquely. Skeletal trees grow from marble basins, and flowers bloom bloodred and ghost white.

A dark veranda overlooks the garden with a silver throne, a table, and a shadow fountain in the corner. A pair of thrones, one bone and one silver, sat on the balcony with a view of the Fields of Asphodel. A breakfast table with flower arrangements also sits on the balcony.
