Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is a mountain in the of the Rocky Mountains. It is located 10 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is 14,115 feet above sea level. Aeolus' palace, Aeolia, connects to Pikes Peak via a thin ice bridge.

The Lost Hero[]

Jason Grace, Piper McLean, Leo Valdez and Coach Hedge land on Pikes Peak after escaping from King Midas. The questers take shelter in a cave on Pikes Peak when a sudden blizzard, created by Khione, strikes. Lycaon and his wolves track them down and corner them in the cave. Before the wolves can attack, Thalia Grace and the Hunters of Artemis intervene. Thalia catches up with her long lost brother while Phoebe treats a hyperthermic Piper and the other Hunters pursue Lycaon. Thalia joins the questers as they try to reach Aeolus. However, Leo accidentally melts the ice bridge connecting Aeolia and Pikes Peak, forcing Thalia to retreat back to the peak while the others continue onto Aeolia.
