The Python Statue is one the statues that guards Nyame's Palace. It is based off of Python, one of the creatures that who Anansi brought for the god, he was often named Onini .
History[]
Anansi, the one who captured Python
Python was the second creature Anansi decided to bring to Nyame. Anansi walked through the forest carrying a long staff until he came across Python laying on a boulder in the sun. Anansi studied both the reptile and the staff and thought the staff was longer. Python felt insulted by this, he took pride in his length. So he slithered down and stretched out on the staff where Anansi quickly tied him and brought the snake to Nyame.
