Prince Rudra 'Rudy' of Naga-Loka is a Naga. He is the cousin of Aiden Acharya, and the grandson of Takshaka.

Personality[]
Rudy usually acts suave, cool, and full of himself, but underneath the exterior he's kind of insecure, and when he's put in unfamiliar dangerous situations he tends to freak out.
He cares about his family and friends, though he has a habit of expecting people to do things in return for him when he does things for them, like saying Aru owes him a favor after he distracts Takshaka in Aru Shah and the Song of Death.

Rudy possesses an orange messenger bag containing various crystals that he uses to alter music and produce sound. In Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes, he uses them to amplify and liven music coming from the vimana's radio. He also uses them to distract people on different occasions.

When she first sees him, Rudy winks at her, and Mini walks into a telephone pole out of shock. Later, in Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes, Rudy appears in the museum, and Mini is again shaken and starts nervously blabbering about gut flora. As the story progresses, Rudy starts showing interest in Mini, who gradually calms down and starts ignoring him. Mini attempts to comfort Rudy about him not being able to see the safe yellow squares in the crypt of eclipses, telling him that color blindness is more common than he thinks. After a while, Mini and Rudy have become friends and grown some respect for each other. By the end of the series, they are figuring out their relationship.
Trivia[]
- Rudra is also the name of the god of storm and the hunt often associated with Vayu and Agni.
- Rudy has deuteranopia, or red- green color blindness, meaning he has trouble telling the difference between green and red, and between blue and purple.
- This makes things difficult for him, especially in the Naga realm and with magic, as there magic and color are intertwined. He is seen as a disappointment to his family, even though he can still do amazing things with sound.
- Rudy has no idea what a microwave is. This is only one of the human/ mortal world things he is confused about, as well as their statues not coming to life, platypuses, and humans not hatching from eggs in a hundred days.
