Sally Jackson is the mother of Percy Jackson.

History

At one point, Sally entered a relationship with Poseidon and the two had a son, Percy. When Percy was seven months old, Poseidon was forced to leave after Zeus decreed that the gods could not interact with their demigod children.

At on point, Sally married the abusive and lazy Gabe Ugliano as his sent masked Percy natural demigod odor, putting up with years of abuse for her son’s safety.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

After her son comes home from his first day at a new school, she tells him things will get better when her husband comes in and demands a beer. The following day, Percy comes home with Grover Underwood and the latter tells Sally they need to get to camp. As she drives, Sally and Grover explain as much as they can before they are attacked by the Minotaur. It pushes the three off the road and they crawl out of the wreckage and make it to Camp Half-Blood. However Sally is unable to cross the border and she is soon seemingly killed by the Minotaur with her son avenging her son after.

A few days later, Hades is revealed to have her hostage and demands Percy give him the Master Bolt in exchange for his mother. Percy, along with Grover and Annabeth Chase, go west to find the pearls needed to free her.

After the three reach the Underworld and realizing Luke Castellan stole the Master Bolt, Hades release her before Persephone takes it and zaps her husband. Due to only having three pearls for the four of them, Grover volunteers to stay behind as the others go to Olympus. When,she, Percy, and Annabeth arrive at the Empire State Building, Luke greets them and, after the son of Poseidon defeats the son of Hermes in combat, Sally helps the demigods reach Olympus but stays behind as she cannot enter the elevator. After war is averted, Sally wishes Percy luck at camp and divorces Gabe, changing the locks on the door.
