Saranyu is the Hindu goddess of clouds and evening.
History[]
Vishwakarma arranged a Svayamvara for Saranyu to marry a suitor, she chose Surya. However, he radiated a lot of light and heat which Saranyu couldn't bear. To escape with him noticing, she turned her own shadow into an identical goddess and fled. Although Surya fell for this decoy for a while, he eventually found out the truth.[1]

Appearance[]
Saranyu had beautiful dark skin, glowing amber eyes, and wore a crown looking like shards of sunlight with a cloud dress billowing out behind her.
Abilities[]
- Nephelokinesis: As the goddess of clouds, she has absolute control and divine authority over clouds.
Trivia[]
- Saranyu can also be referred to as Sanjna, Samjna, or Sandhya.[2]
