A Staff is a primary offensive weapon used by magicians; it can be used to control the elements, summon spirits, etc. It can be turned into any number of creatures like snakes, hippos, or crocodiles and in Sadie's case, a lion. If it's channeled by godly power, especially Isis's, it can be used to unleash blasts of divine energy. It is needed for offensive hieroglyphs if a magician can't simply speak Divine Words. In case of a combat magician, the staff is alternatively used with the Khopesh.
