In my edition of the TTC, chiron does not mention Keto. I believe the section the article refers to is when Chiron possible monsters who could be the bane of olympus. Can anyone help out by giving me a different version of the story. Maimer1882~Put up or shut up 11:45, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Too Easy?

Am I the only one who thinks Keto was taken down to easily? I mean she's the mother of Echidna which makes her the Grandma of all monsters! So why was she so easily in capasitated by Coach's round house kick? SonOfZeus1200~May the Gods be with you. 03:26, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

Simple. Coach Hedge used the round house kick, which as we all know is Chuck Norris' signature move. Hedge called on the powers of Chuck Norris to aid him in his battle against Keto...OK, I'll be serious. While Keto may be a goddess (at least in the series anyway) and the mother of all sea monsters, that doesn't mean that she herself is that strong. I mean Khione was a goddess, but was pretty easily defeated by a demigod, even if he did have a type advantage. Also, her and Phorcys were pretty much banished to Atlanta by the gods for helping the Titans. Meaning that they were both far away from any real body of ocean water and that could have weakened a sea goddess or the gods have some kind of block on them that diminishes their abilities. It could simply be that she isn't that powerful in America and Hedge got the drop on her, as a goats kick is pretty powerful. Darkcloud1111~Fastest Hero Alive 04:26, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
Coach Hedge caught her off guard and her powers seem to be related to animals, since she sent Shrimpzilla. It could also be that she is stronger in water. Son of Nemesis34 (talkcontribs) 09:15, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

Keto can't be that bad!

First of all, she helped the gods fight against the giants on the first war. Then, when  Coach Hedge came in with Keto, they seemed perfeclty normal, they were still talking. My conclusion is that maybe it wasn't part of Keto's plan to capture them.GorgonsRock ;) (talkcontribs) 01:27, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

Keto seems somewhat sweet and innocent but that might mean she was manipulated by Phorcys, and about her fighting the giants, it could be that she changed after being banished. Son of Nemesis34 (talkcontribs) 09:18, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

Hmmmmm....good point --{{SUBST:Template:GorgonsRock|01:58,1/8/2013} 01:58, January 8, 2013 (UTC)

She is still listed as a bad guy because after the trio escaped, she sent sea monsters after them in revenge. She also doesn't seem to care at all about the cruel treatment of the captives already in the aquarium. If no one attacks her, she most likely is a very kind deity. Chiron thinking of another Ketos in The Titan's Curse?

When Chiron was talking about Olympus bane in TTC, could he have been referring to Ketos aithiopios, the monster Poseidon sent to torment Ethiopia after Cassiopeia insulted the Nereides, instead of Keto? After the original Perseus used Medusa's head to petrify the monster it became a huge rock, and Chiron said that the monsters he was thinking of was large as skyscrapers.
