uhhhh... nice picture? really, it's... disturbing, kinda...--LeopardkitSunClan Forever! 16:29, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

Worth mentioning that Kronos wasn't the god of time in greek mythology. It was Chronos (with chi instead of kappa, and different pronounciation). Also, Kronos didn't mean "time" at all. Romans made him personification of the human concept of time (calendars and all), and he was sometimes confounded with Chronos.

THIS PAGE IS A MESS![]

New Picture[]

Just added a new picture, the previous one was very weird and unsharp. How do I edit the description?

Well, we actually don't have a description from the books of what he looked like, which is what we are going by. SayuriDarling 22:13, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

It would be impossible, since it would kill our heroes. P.S. The child he's eating is.... Poseiden. #@ze! (@+s 20:00, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Books[]

I've noticed that there is virtually no information about the books. Is anyone willing to make a section? Supernado 19:29, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks to whoever changed it "The avatar" i believe- EustonFord

I think an image is somewhat exaggerated, even for someone like Cronos. I do not think he has been so

Okay now as of the 7th of november 2010 this image is just stupid i would upload one myself but i don't know how oh and the picture reminds me of the fallen as he was just destroyed in TF2 ROTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EustonFord (talkcontribs) 03:26, November 8, 2010 (UTC)EustonFord

Distubing image.[]

I kinda thing the picture looks more like a villain from other stuff than mythology. I'm ure Kronos isn't that scary, his just a villain you know...

In the Percy Jackson series, he is a villain. In the old stories, he really was that evil. He took over the throne and sent ruled his world with an iron fist. He ate his children so they would never take his throne and cast all forms of the giants into the darkest pits of Tartarus. Darkcloud1111~Fastest Hero Alive 05:42, March 4, 2011 (UTC)

THE TITAN OF TIME? Seriously? My brain just melted. Ricorum (talkcontribs) 04:59, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

He did this because of me. Cause i kept trying to explain it doesn't matter if he was addressed as Cronus he was addressed as Kronos on here. TheGhostMan May the Underworld protect your soul when you enter. 05:04, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

It's all good... My brain heals quick. I would rename it, but It won't let me, on account of "Kronos" already existing as a page. I have already requested assisstance from an Admin. Ricorum (talkcontribs) 05:06, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

Is this page supposed to be a page for Kronos, or a really bad joke? "Beware the Jabberwokk my son; The jaws that bite, the claws that scratch." (talkcontribs) 05:35, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, It's been mentioned in this page page that Kronos was NOT the god of time. Which in completely true in Greek mythology. But this is a wikia page about the Percy Jackson books. Not Greek mythology. In the books, Kronos had powers over time, so this wikia page, which is about those books, should probably say that Kronos had powers over time. 67.41.213.13 05:00, December 28, 2011 (UTC)A....person who is NOT a member.

Incorrect. Kronos was the god of time in Greek Mythology. He is mentioned as such several times. Snowskeeper---Till Hell Freezes Over. (talkcontribs) 16:25, November 1, 2013 (UTC)

Did you know?[]

Did you guys notice that in the section about Kronos in The Lightning Theif there was this:?

"Knowing of the resentment between demigods and their condoms Kronos decided to use this to his advantage and find a women follower willing to oppose condoms"

As a correction Kronos isn't the god of time. Chronus is! I think that should be removed being in Greek Mythology Kronos isn't the god of time. Vespiddestroyer (talkcontribs) 20:09, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Rick kind of combined Chronos and Kronos for the sake of the series as Kronos has Time based powers. While not mythologically accurate, it is accurate to the series. Darkcloud1111~Fastest Hero Alive 20:13, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

I agree because its not up to us to decide whether Chronus is Kronos but Rick Riordan is the author not us. michaelpogi (talkcontribs) 14:22, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

Actually according to Theoi.com the best source for anything Greek Mythological. Cronos/Kronos was considered that KRONOS (or Cronus) was the Titan god of time and the ages, especially time where regarded as destructive and all-devouring. Where as Chronus was the other aspects of time. Il lupo deve morire, per una propagazione della luce attraverso 14:29, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

Castration?[]

I presume we are saying that he killed Uranus by cutting him into a thousand pieces, and that Zeus "destroyed" Kronos by cutting him into a thousand pieces; as a appropriate substitute for castration? Tiphis - Hells Yeah 00:43, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

A lot of myths have different tellings of how they happened. For example, there are different tellings of the meeting between Atlas and Hercules. In some stories, Kronos was sent down to the pits of Tartarus in a thousand pieces, while in others he was castrated, and others say he was simply cast down into Tartarus. Rick just used the "cut into a thousand pieces" story in order to make more sense, because if he had a body he wouldn't need to take over Luke's. Darkcloud1111~Fastest Hero Alive 00:51, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

Chronostasis[]

Do we really need this Hermione? I mean it really has nothing to do with the series at all and it is named after Chronos, the primordial god of time, not Kronos, the Titan of agriculture. Darkcloud1111 Umbreon1111God of Dark Clouds 22:25, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

The point is that it’s trivia. >_>

gggggggggggggggggggggggggg 22:34, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

There is a difference between trivia and useless trivia. I mean Chronostasis would be relevant if maybe Kronos used this as some kind of power, but it is just your mind playing a trick on you, so it isn't even time control. It just seems very out of place and completely irrelevant to the series at all. It isn't even named after Kronos. Darkcloud1111 Umbreon1111God of Dark Clouds 22:38, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

8th Hero of Olympus (talkcontribs) 09:14, November 7, 2013 (UTC) So, what does that fact that Kronos runs away from a fight with Hades like a sissy mean? Hades is, obviously, more powerful and a more skilled warrior.

Or it could just mean he didn't want to be bothered with such things. He could have fought Hades, but he had a clear opening to get to Olympus and destroy the gods. After that, he could destroy Hades as he pleased. Darkcloud1111 Umbreon1111Fastest Hero Alive 10:56, November 7, 2013 (UTC)
8th Hero of Olympus (talkcontribs) 21:18, November 15, 2013 (UTC) Well, technically, at that time, Hades had no "seat of power" on Olympus, so Kronos would not have been able to make him fade, even if he did destroy Olympus. I doubt that Hades would submit to his father's rule, and Kronos would have to invade the Underworld. I doubt that even Kronos would win if he tried.

Kronos's Picture. []

There is a picture of Kronos in Percy Jackson's Greek Gods. Shouldn't we put it on this page? Kronos300 (talkcontribs) 13:24, January 8, 2015 (UTC)

I guess so. Is it in the Percy Jackson's Greek Gods gallery? M.J. Daniels (talkcontribs) 16:26, January 8, 2015 (UTC)

"He is arguably the most powerful being in the series" cough cough The Fates cough cough. Not to mention that line is an assumption and should not be in a wiki. WalterEliasDisney (talkcontribs) 17:25, August 20, 2016 (UTC)
