The Battle of the Labyrinth is a graphic novel adaptation of the novel of the same name by Rick Riordan. It was released on October 2nd, 2018.
Differences from the book[]
Chapter 1[]
- The scene where Grover Underwood meets with the Council of Cloven Elders is cut.
- Nico di Angelo was not seen burning his Mythomagic cards.
- The scene where Annabeth Chase receives a prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi is shown, including the last line.
Chapter 2[]
- Percy Jackson does not witness Nico's conversation with the ghost of Theseus via Iris Message.
- Janus only appears as a statue.
- Minos wears a regular crown instead of a circlet.
Chapter 3[]
- The scene involving Percy with the Naiad at the river is cut.
- Geryon begins to attack Percy first before the latter when the former points out that he didn't swear on the River Styx.
- Percy kills Geryon with a sword instead of an arrow.
- The scene with the Sphinx and Answer That Riddle is cut, although the game show itself with a statue of the Sphinx is briefly seen when Percy and the group head to Hephaestus.
- Mount Saint Helens has a factory instead of a classroom, Annabeth is with Percy who does not hide in a barrel.
- The Telekhines have human-like legs instead of stubby legs that were half flipper, half foot like a sea lion.
- Annabeth doesn't kiss Percy before she leaves.
Chapter 4[]
- Percy does not interact with Calypso.
- Percy does not battle a Scythian Dracaena and Ethan Nakamura before Antaeus. The demigod only appears briefly walking with Luke Castellan.
- The huge rodent Pan had with him was replaced by another dodo bird. The animals were not seen fading away after Pan.
Chapter 5[]
- The scene where Dionysus returns was not shown. Everything involving the Council of Cloven Elders happens offscreen.
- The scene where Kronos possesses Luke is shown at the end, Percy does not open the coffin.
